A New Dawn in Northeast Collegiate Hockey

The Northeast Collegiate Hockey League is proud to officially welcome Farmingdale State College and Head Coach Joe Mazzie to our family. After an impressive and hard-fought run in the AAU, the Rams bring a tradition of grit, speed, and relentless competition that will elevate the level of play across our league. Coach Mazzie’s leadership and the team’s proven success make Farmingdale a program to watch, and we are excited to see their impact both on and off the ice. On behalf of the entire NECHL, we look forward to the energy, passion, and competitive spirit the Rams will bring to every game. Welcome to the league!

The NECHL is proud to officially welcome Sacred Heart University into Division I play — an exciting new chapter for a program that continues to rise with purpose, passion, and undeniable momentum.

Guided by the exceptional leadership of Head Coach Alex Landolina, the Pioneers have enjoyed remarkable success at the ACHA Division II level, earning a distinguished Top-10 finish in the Northeast Region last year. Their ascension stands as a testament to tireless dedication, a winning spirit, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the ice.

As Sacred Heart transitions into the Division I landscape, the NECHL enthusiastically celebrates the Pioneers’ competitive fire, proud tradition, and continued growth. The league looks forward to thrilling matchups, spirited rivalries, and the bold energy Sacred Heart brings to the ice.

Welcome to the NECHL, Farmingdale State College & Sacred Heart University — where a bright new era is ready to unfold.
