Bulls Young Guns Tearing Up the ACHA!
The Bulls are in a bit of a rebuild this year, adding 17 new players to their roster. Two of those young guns are making a splash in the ACHA.
Forward Ryan Peterson (#21) finished the semester with 20 pts (8g - 12a) in 15 games, putting him 8th in points for all rookies across the ACHA Men's DI league. Ryan, who leads the Bulls in scoring, has been a force on the ice since day one, notching 3 points (1g - 2a) in his first game as a Bull. Ryan has been strong on the draws and is a key part of both the team's powerplay and penalty kill units.
Defenseman Quinn Griffin (#22) finished the semester with 8 points (4g - 4a) in 13 games, good enough for 7th in points among rookie defenseman. Quinn may be a freshman, but he plays like a veteran. Quinn quarterbacks the second power play unit and provides steady, lock-down defense both 5 on 5 and on the penalty kill.
Other notable first year players include defenseman Tyler Hagelberger (#3), forward Cole Belt (#24), and goaltender Harrison Guigui (#31). Tyler, who made the transition to defense this year, has worked his way into a consistent starting rotation. Cole is tied for third on the team in points and has proven he has a knack for scoring big goals. Harrison has proved to be a rock in the net for the Bulls, starting 13 out of 15 games in the first half of the season and logging over 600 minutes.
Strong performances from returning players like forward Ryan Kelly (#16) and forward Matthew Alletto (#7), as well as our Captains’ play on the ice and leadership off the ice, set the tone for the young players coming in and introduced them to the Bulls culture of success.
